Content Guidelines

To ensure your submission meets our standards, please follow these guidelines:

  • 100% original content: All submissions must be original and not published elsewhere, including on personal blogs or Medium
  • Word count: 800–2,000 words per post. Longer, more comprehensive posts are preferred when the topic warrants it
  • Tone and voice: Warm, genuine, and helpful. Write as if you’re helping a close friend find the perfect words for a meaningful moment
  • Structure: Use clear headings, short paragraphs, and bullet points where helpful. Include a brief introduction explaining the occasion and who the message is for
  • Examples: Include 5–15 sample messages in each post with different tones (heartfelt, short, funny, religious, etc.)
  • No AI-generated content: We value authentic human emotion. All submissions must be written by you, not by AI tools
  • No self-promotion: While we credit authors with a bio and link, the content itself should not promote products or services
  • Formatting: Submit your post as plain text or HTML. We’ll handle the final formatting

How to Submit

Ready to contribute? Here’s how it works:

  1. Pitch us your idea: Send a brief email describing the topic you’d like to write about, along with 2–3 sample message types you plan to include
  2. We’ll review and approve: Our editorial team will review your pitch and let you know if it fits our content plan
  3. Write and submit: Once approved, write your post following our guidelines above and send it to us
  4. Editing and publishing: We may suggest minor edits for consistency. Once finalized, we’ll publish with your author credit

Send your article idea or draft to [email protected] with the subject line “Guest Post: [Your Topic]”. Include a short bio (2–3 sentences) and a link to your website or social media if you’d like to be credited.

Review Process

We review every submission carefully and aim to respond within 5–7 business days. Here’s what we look for:

  • Does the content match our topics and audience?
  • Are the messages genuine, well-written, and emotionally resonant?
  • Does the post provide enough variety (different tones, relationships, occasions)?
  • Is the content original and well-structured?

We may accept your post as-is, request minor revisions, or provide feedback for resubmission. We reserve the right to decline submissions that don’t meet our quality standards.

Thank You

Thank you for considering contributing to JollyWisher. Every message we publish helps someone express what’s in their heart — and that matters more than you might think. We look forward to reading your work and sharing it with our community.
